Our procurement division assists during P&O’s Pacific Pearl refit

As a preferred supplier to P&O’s cruise fleet, Halliday Engineering was called upon to source and supply a wide range of engineering supplies during the Pacific Pearl’s recent dry-docking and refit.

12 months in the planning, and involving hundreds of contractors and several project management teams, the Pacific Pearl underwent major works above and below decks during a 3 week period.

Working to very tight time frames including numerous last-minute requests and multiple contractor requirements, our technical supply division was kept busy obtaining quotes, tracking down hard to get items, arranging freight and logistics and generally being on-call to help out when needed.

Our global contacts, vast experience and buying power made the difference. Steel, building supplies, nuts and bolts, consumables, fit-out supplies, pipes and pumps, timber, tender gearbox works and specialist gauges – just to name a few – Halliday Engineering was able to competitively and efficiently play its small part in this successful P&O dry-docking.
